Hey everyone. Just wanted to put up a brief message to let you know we are STILL sifting through the scads (is that a word)? of comments that were posted during the Bloggy Giveaways at the end of April, contacting some of our visitors to feature them on the home page. It’s a good problem to have, really…so many visitors, so little time! Don’t lose heart if you haven’t been contacted yet, and don’t give up on a great premiere feature coming very soon. Thanks for being patient!

GIVEAWAY WINNER: Congrats to Qtpies7!
Thanks to all 97 of you who entered my Bloggy Giveaways contest last week! And may I just say, we have a REALLY talented group of kids, don’t we? I’m blown away by many of your comments about your kids’ achievements, and I’ll be contacting a whole crop of you to get more information and feature your kids on the homepage.
Now, about that giveaway - congratulations to Qtpies7 of Our 7 Qtpies, who won a copy of Mommy’s Locked in the Bathroom! With seven of them under foot, I imagine she makes GREAT use of the lock on that bathroom door as often as possible. Enjoy the book, and please check your email for information from me regarding shipping. I’m also leaving a comment on your blog.
Thanks again to all the entrants; I’ll be contacting many of you in the coming days and weeks, both to thank you for visiting the blog and to discuss featuring your child on our site.
GIVEAWAY: Mommy’s Locked in the Bathroom!
Welcome to the BragOnYourKids Bloggy Giveaway contest! Since the purpose of this brand new site is to help you shout out to the world how awesome your kid is, let’s kill two birds with one stone! We’ll give away a fun parenting book AND get this site off to a great start with lots of interesting submissions.
First, a little about the prize. It’s a really great read entitled “Mommy’s Locked in the Bathroom!” by Cynthia Sumner. The subtitle - “Surviving Your Child’s Early Years with Your Sanity and Salvation Intact”. If your kids are past those “early years” already, it’s still a good read from a nostalgic point of view - or just stash it away and pass it on to a good friend when the time comes. She’ll appreciate knowing she’s not alone in her struggles!
Oh, and just so you know - we might have taken a peek or two inside the book to revisit some of the funniest parts, so please pardon any signs of use. The book does look brand new; we just can’t guarantee you won’t find a slightly creased page corner on some of our favorite parts.
If you’d like to win this book, all you have to do is leave a comment sharing a great accomplishment of your own kid or a kid you know. Please make sure we have a way to contact you in case you win or we choose your entry for a feature article!
Entries will be accepted until 11:59 PM ET on Friday, April 25. A winner will be randomly selected and announced on Saturday, April 26.
Enjoy!
Privacy concerns? Ease your mind here!
While it’s true that we’ll have to contact you for more information in order to feature your story on the home page, you won’t need to worry about your privacy or that of your child! This web site will never mention your family’s last name (or even last initial!), nor will your hometown be identified. If you choose, you can specify the state or country in which you reside - but even that is optional!
Also, the e-mail address you provide as contact information when you submit your comment will not appear on our website if you fill out the form correctly (just follow the instructions; it’s easy!). Naturally, it goes without saying that we will use that email address to contact you privately only for the purposes of gathering additional details for our story, and for no other purpose. It will never be shared, sold, and all that other stuff. ![]()
